Peter launched and directed his well-received clothing line from 1992 to 1996. With a focus on impeccable craftsmanship and creative design, his collections were sold in major department stores, including Nordstrom and I Magnin & Company.
As a featured guest designer, his Spring 1993 women’s wear line was showcased at I Magnin & Company, a San Francisco, California-based high fashion and specialty goods luxury department store. Throughout his ready-to-wear business tenure, Peter’s high-quality attire adorned the racks of exclusive boutiques and specialty stores throughout America. During this time period, he received critical acclaim for his design aesthetic.
Peter was frequently featured in Women’s Wear Daily and was twice named as a finalist for San Francisco’s prestigious Absolut Golden Shears Award competition. He made his own patterns and would cut and sew his own muslins. In this way, Peter maintained creative control over the design process—from start to finish. As a result, he became a master designer, pattern maker, and tailor.
Below are just a few examples (of many hundreds) of clothing designs that Peter created. His appreciation for all things high fashion was a natural leap forward on his creative trajectory into photography and art print design.
